– Jacques Patrick sighting! He ran for 8 on his first touch as a 49er and made a nice cutback to find the open lane. He was already dealing with a calf issue. – Kittle came down awkwardly after a low hit. Charlie Woerner was in the area too though and both players got hands on it, but neither caught it. He extended the play and threw a nice ball down the field to Brandon Aiyuk. – Good escape by Garoppolo with pressure in his face. This is dominance in the trenches by San Francisco. Ford and Javon Kinlaw combined for the 49ers’ third sack of the afternoon. He had a stop for a loss of 2 in his first regular season action of the year. – Good to see Maurice Hurst back in the lineup for San Francisco. It looked like left guard Laken Tomlinson didn’t recognize the blitz and left a wide open hole for Brooks to run through. Seahawks LB Jordyn Brooks flew in to sack Garoppolo with very little resistance. – Not a good start to the second quarter. The 49ers have a good plan for Wilson so far and he hasn’t looked comfortable even when he has had time to throw.Įnd of first quarter: 49ers 7, Seahawks 0 He flew around the edge and hit Wilson before he could scramble. – Nick Bosa’s fourth sack of the year forced another Seattle punt after the interception. That’s the kind of thing that happens because the 49ers’ passing offense gets repetitive. Bad interception for Garoppolo who telegraphed a throw over the middle that safety Quandre Diggs read the whole way. This pass rush might tee off if they keep getting Seattle in third-and-long spots. Kirkpatrick dropped Tyler Lockett for a loss on first down, then Dee Ford came up with a strip sack of Russell Wilson on a third-and-long to force another Seahawks three-and-out. – Mitch Wishnowsky kicked the extra point, which means Robbie Gould is likely unavailable. If Garoppolo trusts himself like that it’ll be a good day for the 49ers’ offense. That was a terrific drive from the quarterback and a very nice catch by Dwelley. The big tight end had a corner on him and Garoppolo threw it up and let Dwelley go make a play. What a throw from Garoppolo to tight end Ross Dwelley. He’s being way more decisive than he was against Green Bay and throwing with more accuracy. – Jimmy Garoppolo is in a good rhythm to start. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them go five wide a bunch against this 49ers secondary. The throw sailed over Metcalf’s head to bring up a punt on Seattle’s first series. The first throw of the game went to DK Metcalf who was covered by Emmanuel Moseley. Johnson was the nickel corner with K’Waun Williams out. – Dontae Johnson and Dre Kirkpatrick got starts at cornerback.
